The reason "qcaps" are better than "blogs"                         or

What is a "qcap"?   A "qcap" is a Quick Recap of the most essential information on any given subject.

Blogs generally tend to be long, rambling collections of commentaries on whatever random topics may come into a writer's mind.  Blogs usually continually grow in length and size and scope -- endlessly adding more and more comments on every imaginable subject.  Blogs, however, are rarely if ever edited to distill all of their voluminous, random commentary into concise and cohesive presentations that clearly focus of the most essential information on any given topic.

Qcaps are intended to promote the concept of creating small, uncluttered web pages with simple, concise topic menus and sub-pages (like this one) in which a concise summary and overview of each topic is presented, with links to referenced sources and longer discussions on each topic, if and as needed.  Qcaps are intended to be continually edited, updated, and fine-tuned to improve the content.

Web pages for each menu and for each opening sub-topic page should not exceed 800-pixels wide by 700-pixels high.

The opening sub-page for each topic should include a sort title, a summary statement of ideally 25 words or fewer, and a concise recap or overview -- ideally of not more than abaout 300 words. On controversial topics, it could include only a single point of view or optionally both pros and cons.
